Fourth of July Weekly Bullet Journal Spread Ideas

A fun fact about me is that my favorite holiday is the 4th of July. I love that its a holiday in the summer that I get to celebrate with friends who I don't spent other holidays with. My love for the holiday came from attending over-the-top 4th of July parties in the neighborhood I grew up in. The neighborhood as a whole celebrates on the 3rd with a lake wide poker run and a gigantic firework show. Now that I have explained why the 4th of July is my favorite holiday lets move on to what this blog post is all about. In this blog post I will share a variety of different bullet journal weekly planner spreads to help you celebrate the United State's Independence.

I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack from Amazon. Currently I am still using GoodNotes 4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally you should check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning.

My weekly layouts include a food log for each day. If you do not track your food feel free to change this tracker into a daily to do list, habit tracker, appointment scheduler or really anything that you need it to be.

For this first weekly spread I took a base layout with some highlighted areas and then added to it to fit more planner styles. The base for this weekly spread is perfect for those who have a more minimalistic planner style. For the purpose of transforming this spread with more and more detail I chose to start with a basic capital font, but recommend changing the font to match your particular planner style.

The first variation of this spread includes a light grey drop shadow to all of the boxes. The addition of the drop shadows not only adds dimension to the layout but it also softens the red and blue highlight of the text.

Similar to the first variation I added another drop shadow, but instead of it just being a highlight I went for a diagonal design. This is a more bold option compared to just the highlight.

To enhance this drop shadow for the next spread I added it to all of the boxes and also used red highlight to color it in.

As you can see from this series of spreads you can take a base layout and add more color and design elements to make it match your individual planner style. For these weekly spread I used a traditional red and royal blue, but as you will see with the following spread you can change the shades of the colors to be softer and more pastel or deeper and more dark.

Another idea for a way that you could transform this base spread is to add clusters of stars into the corners of each daily box. I chose to not add a highlight color to them, but you could either use the same red and blue already in the spread or soften the doodles by using a light grey. Instead of stars you could also doodle a small firework burst into each corner.

When I was first thinking of the weekly spreads that I wanted to make for this blog post I knew I had to use a popsicle or bomb pop theme. When I think of summer and the 4th of July I think of backyard barbecue foods like popsicles. To make this spread fit the 4th of July theme I went with bomb pops because of their red, white and blue coloring. I knew I wanted the focus of this spread to be on the bomb pops, so I went with a layout that incorporated the popsicles into the daily dates. I chose to use a lighter shade of blue to soften the spread and to better represent the true blue color of the popsicles. As I showed with the last series of spread you can add more design elements like drop shadows to the boxes to further enhance the spread. On this spread I also showed you an idea of how you could write the 4th of July into Thursday's box.

For this next weekly spread I recycled a spread that I made for my Star Themed Weekly Bullet Journal Spread Ideas. I took the original spread and added a true red and a light navy to the existing design. I feel as through this spread is a subtle way to incorporate the holiday into your bullet journal.  Like all of these spread you could add more stars or take some away depending on what you think looks best. An idea for how to make this spread fit more with the whimsical planner style is to change the font to a more loose cursive with lots of loops and tails.

Like the last spread I recycled a spread that I made for my Star Themed Weekly Bullet Journal Spread Ideas blog post. For this spread I changed the light blue highlight on the stars to have one be red, one be a royal blue and one be a light grey to represent white. If I were to remake this spread I would add a light grey highlight to the corners of the daily food trackers to match the three dimensional feel that the stars have.

As I did with the first weekly spreads I also took this spread to the next level by adding more design elements. To make this spread even more interesting I highlighted the daily food log box according to the daily star. I also kind of made it look like the 4th of July threw up by adding maybe way too many shooting stars to fill the open/white space. But honestly I kind of like it. Obviously this spread is not going to be appealing to everyone, but I think it represents the happiness that the 4th of July brings.

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add ...

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts...
