March Book Review 2019: Eleanor & Park

My Reasons For Reading This Book My mom has always talked about Eleanor & Park and how much she thought I would enjoy reading it. After many years of her telling me to read it I finally decided it was time. As I mentioned with my last book review, I have been in need of somewhat light reads. I am a busy bee in school and don't really have the time or energy to read a thought provoking and intense book. Content of the Book Eleanor and Park are two high school students who are not necessarily seen as "cool" and are the outcasts of their grade. Eleanor is the new girl at school and she doesn't make the best first impression on the other students. She has her own unique fashion sense and can't seem to act they way she should or she is never saying the right thing. Park is half-Korean and always wears black and keeps to himself by listening to music or reading comics. On Eleanor's first day of school Park and her share a seat on the bus. With every bus

Bullet Journal Recipe and Grocery List Spreads

For those you have followed my blog over the past year, then you will know that I started the Low FODMAP diet in May in order to reset my gut to stop the stomach aches that I was having every time I ate. Making significant changes in my diet caused me to have to find new recipes to make. During this time I also moved into my first apartment and started cooking for myself. I came up with a few bullet journal recipe lists and grocery list spreads that I find helpful and inspiring. As I have mentioned before on the blog I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application  GoodNotes  and  Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Currently I am still using GoodNotes 4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally you should check out my blog post  Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning . Recipes To Try The first every food related spread that I made aside from my daily food logs, was a recipes to try spread. Since I love trying new recipes I thought why not create a list

Bullet Journal Packing Lists

Packing for a weekend trip let alone a week ling vacation can be so overwhelming. I have a solution to not only make planning your packing list fun, but that also makes it pretty and useful. This blog post not only gives you ideas of what to pack, but also how to organize your items into categories. These spreads vary from simple and functional spreads, to fully decorated, yet still functional spreads. Spread #1 This first spread is the one I used when packing for a week long trip to Okaboji Lake in the summer of 2018. A

Girl Scout Kitchen Fun No Bake Activity

As I mentioned in my 2019 Zero Waste Goals , I recently became a Girl Scout leader. I am a co-leader with one of my really good friends who just happens to also be one of my roommates. Badge We are currently working on the Programs on Demand Kitchen Fun badge. The goal of this badge is to discuss kitchen safety, identify and define kitchen gadgets, understanding the parts of a recipe, and applying the knowledge learned to some sort of cooking activity. This badge and activity can easily be completed by a Daisy troop through to a Junior troop.   No Bake Activity Due to the fact that our troop meets in a classroom we do not have access to a microwave, fridge or oven. If your troop is under the same circumstance than do I have to perfect treat for you. Awhile back I saw a recipe for Girl Scout Trail Mix on Pinterest, but didn't pay too much attention to it since I was not a leader at the time. Then when the need for a no bake treat came up I knew exactly what I wanted to
