July Book Review: The Widow

My Reasons For Reading This Book While searching Pinterest for books in the triller genre I found The Widow by Fiona Barton . I was instantly intrigued by the book description and knew I had to read it. If you read my last book review, you will know that I had built up high expectations for that book as a result of the reviews the book had. For The Widow I learned my lesson and did not read any reviews before reading it. Content of the Book As viewed by the outside world Jean and Glen Taylor had a seemly normal marriage. Jean was the perfect wife, she never left Glen's side even. That all came into question when Glen was suspected to be involved in the kidnapping and possible murder of Bella Elliot. The book picks up with Jean's life as a widow following the death of her husband. Jean is no longer under the control of her husband and is ready to share all the secrets she has been keeping. How will these secrets become public? Will these secrets aid in solving the cas...

Switching to a Digital Planner- Paperless Planning

This blog post is going to explain why I have switched from paper planning to digital planning. I will also be sharing my favorite digital planning tools and how the first three weeks of planning digitally went. Why Make the Switch to Digital Planning? The reasons I switched from paper planning (traditional planning) to digital planning range from financial to functional. As someone who is working on her environmental studies degree, I am always looking to make changes in my life that benefit the environment instead of harm it. Over the past six months I have been working towards going as paperless as I can. What this means is that I am finding alternatives to traditionally paper products. While taking a look at my life and where I use the most paper I found that planning is one of the areas of my life where I was using and disposing (always recycling) large amounts of paper. So I made the decision to try out digital planning instead of traditional paper planning. Read the next...

5 Black and White Weekly Bullet Journal Spreads

These simple black and white weekly bullet journal spreads are perfect for when you are lacking the time to create a elaborate spread or if simple spreads are just more of your style.  I have created all of these spreads with enough space from daily tasks, daily food logs and even enough space at the bottom to add other trackers, a notes section or somewhere to track your weekly goals or to dos. The rectangle in the top left hand corner is meant to write when the week started and ended.  How You Can Change Up These Spreads From Week to Week I love that I can take these spread and use them as templates for other weekly spreads. These spreads also allow you to easily add color to them to change up the spread from week to week. If you find that one of these spreads works the best for you, you can always change up the look from week to week by experimenting with different fonts, color combinations, doodles, banners, and digital stickers or pictures.  What...
