Beach Read by Emily Henry Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Book As I have mentioned in some of my recent book reviews, I am working through my best friends book list. I first read   People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry . After loving that book, I thought why not read another one of Emily Henry's other books. This one was also on my best friends book list, she never finished it. I was also in the mood for a lighter easy romance book. As I am now on Book Instagram, I am always seeing this book and how much people love it so I thought why not read it. That is how I came to read Beach Read by Emily Henry .  I should also mention I read and reviewed this book in November/December of 2021. Content of the Book January Andrews is a romance writer who no longer believes in love and Augustus Everett is a literary writer with writers block. During the summer on the lake the two enter a challenge for both personal and professional reasons. Other than the fact that they are both writers, neighbors, broke, and exp...

Reasons for Reading this Book I read this book in September as I am a member of the Readheads book club. I did not read Paul Hawkins award winning book Girl on the Train, but I did see the movie because I am a big Emily Blunt fan. I read Paula Hawkins book Into the Water and came to the conclusion that I would not recommend it. Going into reading this book I had a feeling that since I had not read a physiological thriller in a long time that I would either really like A Slow Fire Burning by Paula Hawkins and highly recommend it or I would not like it at all and not recommend it.  Content of the Book Miriam, a loner who lives on a house boat finds the body of a young man murdered on his house boat. Are one of the three women who recently saw him at fault for his gruesome murder? Laura, who has an interesting past herself, is the women he had a one-night-stand with the victim the night of his murder. Carla is his aunt and is currently mourning the lost of her sister, his mother. An...

Going into this book I had no idea what the book was about. I also set no expectations for this book.  Content of the Book  This book follows the 'life' of Klara an AF, Artificial Friend, and how she navigates the life of her outside of the store walls. Can Klara become programmed to love Josie and fight for her to have the best life possible? Themes What does love mean? What is family? What does it mean to be fully human? What I Liked A...
