August Book Review: Sharp Objects

My Reasons For Reading This Book Recently I have really been enjoying listening to podcasts about the books I have read so far this year. I was listening to a book club podcast on Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I read and reviewed this book earlier in the year and absolutely loved it. One of the members of the podcast book club recommended reading the two books Gillian Flynn published before Gone Girl, one of the two is Sharp Objects . As a fan of Gone Girl I thought why not give Sharp Objects a try. Content of the Book A Chicago crime reported who had recently been discharged from a psych hospital, has to return to her hometown of Wind Cap, Missouri when she is assigned the task of reporting on the murder of two preteen girls from he small town. July Book Review: The Widow

My Reasons For Reading This Book While searching Pinterest for books in the triller genre I found The Widow by Fiona Barton . I was instantly intrigued by the book description and knew I had to read it. If you read my last book review, you will know that I had built up high expectations for that book as a result of the reviews the book had. For The Widow I learned my lesson and did not read any reviews before reading it. Content of the Book As viewed by the outside world Jean and Glen Taylor had a seemly normal marriage. Jean was the perfect wife, she never left Glen's side even. That all came into question when Glen was suspected to be involved in the kidnapping and possible murder of Bella Elliot. The book picks up with Jean's life as a widow following the death of her husband. Jean is no longer under the control of her husband and is ready to share all the secrets she has been keeping.
