Chicken Sausage Dinner Ideas

Do you have one of those foods that you like so much you could eat it everyday? Well, for my mom that is chicken sausage. She is the one who introduced me to chicken sausage because when I would stay at her house that is what we would eat for dinner. Since I started eating chicken sausage I have come up with a couple of different ways to incorporate it into different meals.  I like chicken sausage because it is an easy to prepare protein that can be paired with all types of food depending on the flavor of chicken sausage that you get. My mom personally likes spicy chicken sausage whereas I usually go for plain or apple.  Grilled Chicken Sausage One way I love to enjoy a chicken sausage is grilled on a charcoal or outside grill. I like to get a good char so its crispy on the outside. I then wrap it in leafy lettuce. I like to either dip it in ketchup or BBQ sauce. I serve it along with a dill pickle, steamed broccoli, steamed or grilled corn, or oven roasted carrot fries. This ...

Ground Turkey Dinners

A protein source that I think is underrated is ground turkey. I grew up eating ground beef and it never agreed with my stomach and I wasn't a fan of the strong flavor. I also did not like the texture of ground meat for a number of years and refused to eat it. Within the last 2-3 years I have started eating ground turkey because it has a milder taste than ground beef. Since doing so I have developed a number of different recipes that I make with ground turkey. This post includes a variety of different ground turkey dinners that are sure to impress. All the meals are simple to make and require minimal ingredients.  All meals are milk free, gluten free, and lower in carbs/starches.  Eggroll in a Bowl Eggroll in a bowl is the perfect dinner because it combines vegetables and protein into one easy dish. The three main ingredients for eggroll in a bowl are green cabbage, ground turkey, and zucchini. For the sauce and seasonings I use gluten free soy sauce or tamari, salt, black pepp...

4 Ingredient Vegetarian Dinners

As a busy college student one of the best things I can do to make sure that I am eating healthy while also staying under a budget is to make dinners that only require a few main ingredients. I have published a similar blog post, but that one included meat products while this one does not. Like I mention in all of my food blog posts, I am milk free, gluten free, garlic free, and I limit the types of starch that I have. All of these meals are vegetarian and all vegan except one. In this blog post I am sharing some of my favorite quick and easy 4 ingredient vegetarian dinners.  I would like to mention that all of these meals meal prep great except the pizza and the Banza pasta.   Pantry Stapes soy sauce/tamari/coconut aminos salt pepper oil (olive oil or avocado oil) BBQ Caulipower Chickpea Pizza Caulipower Pizza Crust Fody Original BBQ sauce Fody Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce 15 oz can of chickpeas Over the summer I had a BBQ chicken pizza and when I went vegetarian I wanted to find ...

My Favorite Fody Foods Products and How I Use Them

I would like to start out by saying this post is not sponsored or affiliated with Fody Foods . I am a repeat loyal customers who loves their products and wanted to share my favorites and how I use them. As I have mentioned in all of my food related blog posts, I am moderately low fodmap, completely milk free and rarely eat gluten. With having all of these eating restrictions I have tested out so many products to fit these needs. When I first started the low fodmap elimination diet, I fell in love with some of Fody Foods products and still use them today even though I am not longer completely low fodmap. The reason I still use Fody products is because I am still quite sensitive to onions and garlic. I am thinking of doing a blog post dedicated to when I reintroduce onions back into my regular diet. Here I have a  link  to an article that describes what a low fodmap diet is and how to get started. Now lets move on to my favorite Fody Foods products and how I use them!! ...

Three Easy Spring Crockpot Meals

Welcome back!! This is my first blog post back after taking a break starting in September 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I have found the inspiration and time needed to get back into blogging. As of now I do not know how often I will post and what the future holds for me. With the new found free time on my hands I have been more inspired to try new recipes. Doing so has allowed me to discover new recipes that will definitely be on repeat for the upcoming months. Since these recipes brought joy to me during these times, I thought why not share them in hopes that they can do the same for others. I will be sharing two crockpot recipes and one oven recipe that can also be done in a crockpot or pressure cooker. Honey Lime Shredded Chicken (Crockpot) One of my favorite YouTubers to watch is Denise from Sweet Peas & Saffron. I watched her 7 Ingredient Meal Prep video and knew that I had to try her Honey Lime Chicken recipe. As I have talked about in previous food blog posts...
