Low Waste and Eco-Friendly Moving Tips and Tricks

This summer I moved once again. For this move I took more time to prepare than I have in the past and also was a lot more aware of the amount of waste that I could prevent creating throughout the process. In this blog post I will be sharing some of the tips and tricks that I discovered to not only help the process of moving be less overwhelming, but also low waste.                                                              One of the first and most important tips I have for you when moving is to look for second-hand items before purchasing new ones. Buying second hand is the best option for purchasing items for the environment because you are prolonging the life of an item that would otherwise be discarded to a landfill. Landfills are another issue in its self that I will not get into now. Another reaso...

Must Have Apps for College Students

To give a little preface to this blog post I am a senior Environmental Studies major and Environmental Education minor. Over the past four years in college I have found a number of different apps that help me to not only succeed in my school work, but that also help me in other areas of my life. In this blog post I will be sharing some of my favorite apps that I recommend all college students consider using.  Spotify When it comes to music subscription services I recommend Spotify because they have a student package that also includes a subscription to Hulu. Some of the features of Spotify that are helpful to students is the ability to create your own playlists. This allows you to create a playlist specific to your needs. This could either be for working out or while studying. On Spotify you can find a playlist to fit any need that you have. This app is great because you are listen to music or podcasts on your walks or drives to class, while working out and while studying.   ...

10 Quick and Easy 3-4 Main Ingredient Dinners

There are a number of reasons why I love 3-4 ingredient meals. The first reason is that it makes grocery shopping so much easier and lowers the cost. Secondly, it takes up less space in the fridge or pantry which has been a problem for me in the past because I live with roommates and we have limited space. Lastly having less ingredients means simpler prep and cooking. In this blog post I have compiled some of my favorite and most made 3-4 main ingredient dinners. These meals range from slow cooker to the grill. I have a variety of different dishes and ideas on how to adapt them to fit your dietary needs. As I mention in all of my food related blog posts I am moderately low fodmap (no onions and garlic unless it is in a seasoning blend), completely milk free and rarely eat gluten. I also do not eat starch and only eat carbs from fruits and non-starchy vegetables. Eggroll in a Bowl Eggroll in a bowl is the perfect dinner because it combines vegetables and protein into one easy dish....

American Royals Book Review

My Reasons For Reading This Book  It feels like I haven't reviewed a book in a long time, but really I have just read more books this year that ever before. Something I have not talked about yet on the blog is that I am a part of The Readheads Book Club , which is a podcast book club. I joined the book club because one of the hosts also has a Bachelor podcast that I listen to during the airing of the show. I was so excited to join a book club because I always struggle to find books and people to talk to about the books I read. A different host chooses a book each time giving you a variety of different genres and book topics. As of the time I am writing this, the book club is on book 9 of the year. I have read all but book one and book eight. I chose not to read the eighth book because I read it in high school and did not want to read it again. Now where am I going with this if the book I am reviewing today is not one of the books read for the book club, well that is because Margo o...

My Favorite Fody Foods Products and How I Use Them

I would like to start out by saying this post is not sponsored or affiliated with Fody Foods . I am a repeat loyal customers who loves their products and wanted to share my favorites and how I use them. As I have mentioned in all of my food related blog posts, I am moderately low fodmap, completely milk free and rarely eat gluten. With having all of these eating restrictions I have tested out so many products to fit these needs. When I first started the low fodmap elimination diet, I fell in love with some of Fody Foods products and still use them today even though I am not longer completely low fodmap. The reason I still use Fody products is because I am still quite sensitive to onions and garlic. I am thinking of doing a blog post dedicated to when I reintroduce onions back into my regular diet. Here I have a  link  to an article that describes what a low fodmap diet is and how to get started. Now lets move on to my favorite Fody Foods products and how I use them!! ...

The Only Habit/Health Tracker that You Need for Your Bullet Journal

As a person who is very in-tune with their body, I find it extremely helpful to have a health habit tracker for when life gets crazy. These spreads were made on GoodNotes5, but are easily exported to be used on GoodNotes4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally check out my blog post  Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning . Why Have You Need a Health/Habit Tracker in Your Bullet Journal Too!!
