As 2018 comes to an end, I thought I would share some of my favorite weekly spreads. Whether you are planning to start using a bullet journal at the start of the new year or you are a seasoned bujo pro, these weekly spreads are simple to create and cute. Since I plan digitally, I use an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack from Amazon. If you are curious to why I plan digitally you should check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning. Now lets get into these weekly spreads.
The layout for these weekly spreads were all the same except for the last spread. I prefer a vertical layout. These themes could be easy adapted to fit a horizontal layout or any type of layout that you prefer. I also include a food log for each day, but as you will see there is room for other trackers, spreads, notes, to do lists, or any other feature that you include in your weekly spreads.
Honey Comb
One of my favorite weekly spreads that I have every created was my honey comb spread. I love the simplicity of using black and yellow and the minimal effort to create the honey comb detail. To see what this spread looks like filled in Mid-Week Check In and End-of-Week Check In.
This spread is one that I have not used yet in my bullet journal, but plan to use this winter. I will most likely use it for a week when its going to snow a lot. This spread is great for those who are traveling to the mountains this winter. I plan to use grey stickers for this spread and use accents of the blue. Another element that could be added to this spread is snowflakes to make it more whimsical.
Donuts
Who doesn't love donuts. Plan on using this spread during the week of June 7th to celebrate National Donut Day. I created this spread after National Donut Day 2018, but I am so excited to finally use it in 2019. The color versatility of this spread makes it so you can make the theme fit the color schemes you use in your bullet journal. I have talked about this in my past bullet journal blog posts, but for some spreads I copy and paste a Google image and then trace over it. I used this technique for this spread. That is one perk of planning digitally.
Fox
This is one of my favorite
spread that I created this fall. The inspiration for this spread came from an image on Pinterest. This was a color scheme that was out of my comfort zone and as a result I absolutely fell in love with the colors and used them in various other spreads this fall. To create this spread I used the copy and paste drawing feature in the GoodNotes application. Check out my Instagram posts Mid-Week Check In and End-of-the-Week Check In for the completed spreads.
Rose
If you are a Bachelor Nation fan then you are anticipating the start of the new season. I created this spread for the final episode of Becca's season of the Bachelorette. I plan on using this spread again for the new season of The Bachelor, but I will be adding to it. You will have to follow my Instagram to see the final product. If you are not a Bachelor fan this is a classier way to celebrate Valentines Day instead of the typical hearts. Here is my Mid-Week Check In and End-of-the Week Check In for the first time I used this spread.
Light Bulbs
In 2018 there was a light bulb bullet journal spread. I would recommend trying it out if you didn't already do so. As I mentioned for the honey comb spread, I love yellow and black together. I found creating this spread was so fun because you can be as creative an experimental as you want with the light bulbs. Instead of making the lights come straight down you could make string drape in curves. Here is the link to my Mid-Week Check In and End-of-the Week Check In for when I used this spread.
Stars
Another great spread for the start of the new year is a star weekly spread. I identify January with blues, mostly because of the snow. If you plan by using a color scheme for the whole month, you could use the mountain spread and this start spread in the same month. I will probably use this spread during a week where I don't have too much planned besides binge watching Netflix. You'll have to follow my Instagram to see when I decide to use this spread in 2019.
Succulents
Something that I haven't shared on my blog or Instagram is my love for succulents. This is actually the first spread I ever created or used in my digital bullet journal. I love how the succulent doodles turned out. For this spread I used a horizontal layout. I am still trying to create a horizontal layout that has enough room for my food log to make it not look so cramped. This is what my Mid-Week Check In looked like for this spread and here is the End-of-the Week Check In.
