Bullet Journal Cleaning Schedule and List Ideas

Since first living on my own in the dorms at my university I have developed a simple daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule. With now living in an apartment I have even more cleaning tasks to tackle regularly. The schedule that I have developed works best for me and my living situation. Living with me in the apartment are three young women and a puppy. When it comes to sticking to this schedule I have not always the best, but having a schedule in place and a bullet journal spread dedicated to it helps me to be motivated to get the cleaning done. Compared to my past bullet journal blog posts this one is simple because I have found that the best way to stay on top of cleaning schedules are to not make it any more work than it has to be. Having too many bullet journal spreads dedicated to one topic or area of your life can cause you to loose focus on one spread. That is why I have narrowed it down to the three cleaning list spreads that will help you to stay on track and keep up with your cleaning.

I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack from Amazon. Currently I am still using GoodNotes 4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally you should check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning.

Cleaning Task Tracker

This is the main cleaning tracker/scheduler that I use in my digital bullet journal. I first created the spread over a year ago when I first started digitally planning and I have recycled the same spread over three times because I just love it so much. I have recycled it in that I use the copy and paste a page tool in GoodNotes. I use this spread to track when I have completed specific cleaning tasks. The spread is less of a cleaning schedule and more of a 'when did I last' or cleaning habit tracker. As a it spread works best for me because I can see the exact date for when I last completed a cleaning task. If a specific task fills up a row I just added another row for that task to the bottom. Another idea for how to mark the completion of this tasks is to write the date that you want to do the task and then highlight around the box. For now the method that I am using works for me and I don't plan on changing it. This spread includes weekly, monthly and as needed cleaning tasks.

Cleaning Schedule

Compared to the last spread this one is more thought out when it comes to the timeline of the schedule. This spread focuses on how often each cleaning task will be completed. I did not design this spread with an area to mark when the tasks were completed. I would recommend using this spread in addition to a cleaning tracker so that exact dates can be tracked. This spread includes daily, weekly, monthly and as needed cleaning tasks. The tasks on this list are just suggestions and things that I do. When making this spread I would first compile a list of your specific cleaning tasks and then determine how often they need to be completed and then design/create the spread.

Declutter To Do List

This last spread is one that I created to encourage myself to declutter my belonging even more and to keep track of what I have already decluttered. The design of this spread is simple, but fits with the overall clean lines and grey theme that I have going on throughout my 2019 digital bullet journal. When it comes to marking which areas I have finished decluttering I simply highlight the box. This spread works for me personally, but might be too simple for those who are just starting to declutter and own way more than I do. If that is the case I recommend using a more in-depth list that breaks down each area even more. For example instead of just closet you could have a box specifically for dresses, tops, skirts, etc.

If you are interested in what I do with the clothes that I declutter I suggest checking out my Honest Review of ThredUp.

Even though this blog post (Bullet Journal List Spread Ideas) is focused on list spreads, they still provide list layout ideas that can be used for cleaning tasks.

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add to y

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts accomplished throughout

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Book: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus was Jackie's choice for the month of October. Jackie is the host of The Readheads Podcast Book Club. This is a monthly podcast book club that I have been apart of since it was established in 2020. I love getting to hear the thoughts of the hosts each month.  Content of the Book: Elizabeth Zott is a chemist but is much more than meets the eye. She is not only beautiful but also extremely smart, confident, strong, and not afraid to beat to her own drum. Elizabeth is one of the only female chemists working at Hastings Research Institute. She is viewed as different by everyone there. It's there that she meet Nobel-Prize nominated chemist Calvin Evans. Calvin who falls in love with Elizabeth is described as a loner, grudge holder, and extremely brilliant. Fast forward a few years and Elizabeth is now a single-mother working as the host of the most watched cooking show, Supper at Six . With Elizabeth's ways of
