National Day Weekly Bullet Journal Spread Themes

For the theme of my weekly spreads I love to include any 'National Day' that I can. I thought that since I love to do it that maybe other bullet journalers would love to do the same. This blog post will include 'National Day' theme for the month of January and the beginning of February.
As I have mentioned before I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack from Amazon. If you are curious to why I plan digitally you should check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning.

National Pie Day Weekly Spread

January 23, 2019 is National Pie Day!! Who doesn't love pie? For this weekly spread I drew a whole cherry pie and two cherries on a stem. Cherry pie is not my favorite kind of pie, but I thought it would be the cutest for this spread. The way in which I set up my weekly spreads is by having a section for each day to write activities, to do lists, and appointments. At the bottom of the spread I then include a What I Ate section. If you do not track your food then feel free to add a different feature at the bottom that you will utilize either daily or weekly. Some ideas would be a habit tracker. If you are looking for habit tracker ideas or what to track in a habit tracker check out my blog post What To Track in Your Habit Tracker. I do want to mention that this spread could also be used for National Cherry Pie Day which is February 20, 2019.

National Squirrel Day Weekly Spread

Another idea for a weekly spread for this same weekly is a squirrel spread for National Squirrel Appreciation Day, which is on January 21, 2019. I recycled one of my fall spreads from 2018 for this spread. This spread has a simple pattern of squirrels and leaves.

National Peanut Butter Day Weekly Spread

If you don't like the squirrel or pie spread then you could make a weekly spread with a peanut and peanut butter theme. National Peanut Butter Day is January 24, 2019. I have to say this was one of my favorite spreads to create. I love how it turned out. It presents the theme in a simple way that is not too in your face. I also have never used this color scheme, which made me question my choices. Like all of my other weekly spreads this one also includes a What I Ate section at the bottom.

National Puzzle Day Weekly Spread

Now moving onto the next week in January. National Puzzle Day is January 29, 2019. For anyone who has a bright planner style then this spread is for you. With that said you could easily make this spread fit your planer style by not including color or changing the color theme to more muted colors. I think this spread is perfect for teachers or anyone who works with children because you could include puzzles into the classroom on January 29.

National Bubble Gum Day Weekly Spread

If a puzzle spread doesn't fit your planner style then maybe bubble gum does. To celebrate National Bubble Gum Day on February 1, 2019 I created this fun and bubbly spread. I love that you can take the simple idea of bubbles and incorporate them into a weekly spread in a variety of different ways. Instead of having the bubbles surrounding the daily header you could scatter them all over the page or have them be in the background. Using bubble letters to fill in this spread would tie together the whole theme. I wanted to keep this spread simple since I plan on using bright pink stickers.

National Pizza Day Weekly Spread

The next weekly spread idea I have for you is a pizza spread for National Pizza Day on February 9, 2019. For this spread I used a combination of pizza slices and whole pizzas. The only other time I have used yellow and red together as a color scheme was for my National Popcorn Day Weekly Spread. To get a look at that spread check out my Instagram account. For the longest time I ate pizza at least once a week, so making a pizza weekly spread fits me perfectly. I can't wait to use this spread and share the end product on my Instagram.

National Strawberry Day Weekly Spread
For National Strawberry Day on February 27, 2019 I kept it simple in case I wanted to add more. Now that I am looking at it if the spread doesn't look to cluttered once I fill it out I might add vines or greens around the strawberries. You will have to follow my Instagram to see what I end up doing.

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add to y

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts accomplished throughout

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Book: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus was Jackie's choice for the month of October. Jackie is the host of The Readheads Podcast Book Club. This is a monthly podcast book club that I have been apart of since it was established in 2020. I love getting to hear the thoughts of the hosts each month.  Content of the Book: Elizabeth Zott is a chemist but is much more than meets the eye. She is not only beautiful but also extremely smart, confident, strong, and not afraid to beat to her own drum. Elizabeth is one of the only female chemists working at Hastings Research Institute. She is viewed as different by everyone there. It's there that she meet Nobel-Prize nominated chemist Calvin Evans. Calvin who falls in love with Elizabeth is described as a loner, grudge holder, and extremely brilliant. Fast forward a few years and Elizabeth is now a single-mother working as the host of the most watched cooking show, Supper at Six . With Elizabeth's ways of
