2021 Book Rankings

In this blog post I am sharing an overall ranking list for all the books I read in 2021. I have split the list into three sections, Top 5, Memoirs, and Overall. The Top 5 list has my Top 5 books of the year. The Memoirs list has the memoirs that I read this year and lastly the Overall list has the rest of the books that I read this year.

I should note that not all the books I read this year have a blog post review. For the one's that do I will link them or if the blog post is scheduled to be posted at a later date I will put that date and update it once it is published. I will also include the star rating that I gave the book in iBooks or on my own.

Top 5 Books of 2021

When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, 5 stars

Memoirs

When I Should Be Studying, gave 5 stars

Overall

When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, gave 3 stars
When I Should Be Studying Review- gave 4 stars
When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, gave 4 stars
When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, gave 2 stars
When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, gave 2 stars
When I Should Be Studying Review- did not review the book, gave 2 stars

Even though I gave some higher stars than other it was mainly because I feel the topic of the book is more important or developed more than the others. 2021 was a year of firsts for me. I graduated college and started the NCCC AmeriCorps FEMA Corps program. I am proud of myself that through this challenging year I was able to set aside at least 30 minutes to read each day. Setting aside this time was not only a self-care act, but it also allowed me to learn so much from the books that I read. Reading some of the books that I did also allowed me to have conversations with different people about the topic of the book and my overall opinions of the book. Connecting over books and reading is something that I love to do and I am so glad that this year showed me how much I truly love doing it. Within my FEMA Corps team I am seen as the reader and people look to me for book recommendations. This is something I am proud of. This year I read a total of 25 books. This is the highest amount of books I have ever read in a year. I love the way reading makes me feel and I cannot wait to see what I read in 2022. Happy Holidays and happy reading!!

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add ...

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts...

Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Memoir: Every month I read the chosen book for  The Readheads podcast book club . The book chosen for September was Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton . I was excited to read this book because I was seeing it being read and reviewed by other book bloggers who I follow. Every review I saw was raving. As someone who is in a transitional phase in their life I was open to taking and learning from Dolly Alderton's life experiences. Content of the Memoir: Dolly recounts her experiences and lessons learned from university, drinking, dating, being dumped, friendship, getting a job, and accepting herself for who she is. Sprinkled throughout the memoir is recipes, lists, and emails full of satire. Everything I Know About Love is about finding yourself, love, friendship, and the trials and triumphs of becoming an adult.  What I Liked About the Memoir: Some memoirs are dense and require lots of focus when reading. Everything I Know About Love is lights...
