2022 Bullet Journal Set Up

I might be a little late to posting this, but work and the holidays were crazy so I am just now getting around to it. In this blog post I am sharing the 9 bullet journal spreads I set up for the 2022 year. Most of these spreads I have more in depth blog posts about, I will link them if so. For this year I went with a neutral color scheme for my main yearly spreads. In the past I have done black and white and ended up really liking the way the bullet journal looked in the end. I do plan to have colorful weekly spreads.

I have ordered this blog post in the order these spreads are in my bullet journal. This is also the order in which I fill them out each day.

I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Adonit Dash 3 Stylus from Amazon. These spreads were made on GoodNotes5, but are easily exported to be used on GoodNotes4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning.

Yearly Mood Tracker

The first spread I always set up in my bullet journal is the mood tracker. Because I plan using GoodNotes, I am able to fit a whole year of daily moods on one spread. I have used this same spread for a couple of years and just change the title each year. I continue using the same color coded key year after year. Compared to last year I went with a bigger and bolder 2022 title.

Monthly Health/Habit Tracker:

If you want to learn all about health and habit trackers and the difference between the two, along with ideas for how to create your own check out, The Only Habit/Health Tracker That You Need For Your Bullet Journal. I use this same layout each month and just change the title. I have not decided if I am going to use the same header for each month or if I am going to create a different header each month. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Monthly Exercise Tracker:

I have been using this layout for years. I love how simple it is to fill out each day. This year I did make adjustments to the color key as I do not do some types of exercises like I used to. For more information on this spread and other fitness trackers check out, Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Trackers. I should also mention that the PT in green is for the PT that my AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps team does 3 times a week and the PT ribbon at the bottom is for my individual physical therapy.

Tweets My Life:

This next spread is where I write down a quote from each day. This can be something I said, someone in my life said, or just how I felt about the day. I reused the same header as last year and just changed the color to match the rest of the 2022 theme.

What I Read:

After last year I wanted to keep more stats on my reading and books. I created this spread to look like a clipboard. I included the stats of the title, start date, end date, and a star rating. You will notice a star at the top right corner. This is the star that I use to copy and paste each time I add a rating. So far I have read 2 books this year and really like how this spread works so far. Check out Bullet Journal Spreads for Book Lovers for more book related spread ideas.

TV Show Tracker:

As an avid TV watcher, it has always been important to me to have a way to track the shows I watch each year. Last year I just made a running list, this year I sectioned it by where I watch if from. For more ideas on tv spreads check out, Bullet Journal TV Series Trackers.

Movie Tracker:

Along with TV Shows I also like to track the movies I watch. I used the same layout as last year and just colored in the movie reels with the neutral color and changed the title. For more ideas on movie trackers for your bullet journal check out, Movie Bullet Journal Spread Ideas.

Where Have I Been?

This is a spread that I carry over year after year. Until recently I was not able to add any more states. Since joining AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps I have added so many more states. Because I use this spread year after year I do not add color to the map and only to the title. I also change the title each year. To make this spread I copy and pasted a blank United States map from the internet into GoodNotes and write on top of the image.

Book Bracket:

This last spread is the newest to my set up. For 2021 I ranked all the books I read. When it came time to rank all of the books I found it hard because I could not remember how I liked it in comparison to other books I read. I am hoping that this spread along with 'What I Read' will make it easier to write that blog post at the end of the year. My initial idea for this was to decide which book I liked best out of the two I read each month, but then I realized that I never read two books in a month that are similar so I could like them for different reasons. I think how I am going to fill this spread out is compare two similar books first and then compare different books as I move along in the bracket. Let me know in the comments if you have a better idea for how I could do this. If you are curious you can check out my 2021 Book Ranking.

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add to y

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts accomplished throughout

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Book: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus was Jackie's choice for the month of October. Jackie is the host of The Readheads Podcast Book Club. This is a monthly podcast book club that I have been apart of since it was established in 2020. I love getting to hear the thoughts of the hosts each month.  Content of the Book: Elizabeth Zott is a chemist but is much more than meets the eye. She is not only beautiful but also extremely smart, confident, strong, and not afraid to beat to her own drum. Elizabeth is one of the only female chemists working at Hastings Research Institute. She is viewed as different by everyone there. It's there that she meet Nobel-Prize nominated chemist Calvin Evans. Calvin who falls in love with Elizabeth is described as a loner, grudge holder, and extremely brilliant. Fast forward a few years and Elizabeth is now a single-mother working as the host of the most watched cooking show, Supper at Six . With Elizabeth's ways of
