4th of July Bullet Journal Weekly Spreads 2022

Man it feels good to be back!! I have not created or posted a bullet journal blog post since the beginning of the year. I truly missed it but also needed the break. I was busy with work and honestly uninspired to create more spreads than what I was using in my personal bullet journal.

In this blog post I am sharing 4 different 4th of July weekly bullet journal spreads. I used both vertical and horizontal layouts for these spreads.

2019 4th of July Weekly Bullet Journal Spreads

I plan digitally, using an iPad and the application GoodNotes and Adonit Dash 3 Stylus from Amazon. These spreads were made on GoodNotes5, but are easily exported to be used on GoodNotes4. If you are curious to why I plan digitally check out my blog post Switching to a Digital Planner-Paperless Planning.

Firework Horizontal:

This first spread includes a box for each day of the week, a box for a tracker, quote or image, and a box for notes, to dos, and gratitude. With all the spreads I create they are meant as inspiration and to be customized to fit your planner needs. The corner of each daily box has a firework drawing in a contrasting color. I chose a traditional red, white (grey), and blue color scheme for this spread. If your planner style is more muted in color your could leave out the highlight for each daily box and just use the color on the firework or switch the highlight color to the color scheme of your planner. I chose a simple black cursive font for the writing.

Vertical Star Spread:

This next spread is a vertical layout option. This spread includes a monthly calendar for July and a red, white (grey), and blue star drawing. There is a box for each day of the week, a to do list box, a groceries list box and a task box. This layout is great for the 4th of July because it allows you to write down all that you have to get done for the holiday. I like this spread because it is not overly themed and can still be patriotic even if you choose to not use color or only use grey. You can always switch out the task or to do section to be an appointments or meetings section. To add depth to the spread I drew a light grey shadow below and to the right of each box. I chose a simple black cursive font for the writing.

Firework Washi Tape Horizontal:

The idea behind this spread is that the design mimics a strip of washi tape along the side of the paper. Each day of the week has a box. There is also a box for notes and gratitude. The box can be used for any planner feature that you use. This could be a to do list, grocery list, appointment list, or even a habit tracker. Get creative and find what works for you to make you as productive as possible. The way I created the washi tape look was by drawing out the fireworks (one for each color), lining the three up, and then copying and pasting them down the side of the paper. This is the easiest of the 4 spreads to set up. I them added a star for the date for each day.

Flag Horizontal Spread:

This last spread is inspired by the American Flag. The boxes have a red striped boarder and a blue box with a star. My tip for you if you create this spread digitally is to draw the highlighted red strips for one box and then copy and paste it to save time. To add more to this spread I wrote the days of the week in a vibrant blue cursive font. I also included an idea for how to write in the 4th of July in a daily box. Like the first layout this one also includes the features of a tracker, notes, and gratitude. These can be switched out for any planner feature you prefer to use.

This blog post is meant as inspiration for creating organized and useful weekly bullet journal spreads. Happy planning!!

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule

Reasonable Dorm Room Cleaning Schedule After my first semester of college I have developed a cleaning routine that I have been able to keep up with. You can read my previous blog post about What I Learned In My First Semester of College . Over the past few months I have experimented and I am confident in the routine that I have created.  Personalize When it comes to personalizing the schedule you could add or take out the different chores. For example I also wash my retainers weekly and monthly my roommate and I decorate the marker board on the outside of our door. We also only clean our mirrors when needed since we have found that they do not seem to become too dirty regularly. Something that I would make sure you sanitize every week would be the surfaces that you are constantly touching. That means light switches, door handles, and your desk. By doing this I managed to avoid getting sick when my roommate and other floor mates go sick. Another task that you could add to y

Bullet Journal Fitness and Workout Spread Ideas

If you want to purchase some of these spreads you can buy the digital bundle from my Etsy shop: Simply Paperless .  I had created six different bullet journal fitness and workout trackers/spreads. These spreads were made in my digital bullet journal using the GoodNotes App.   I highly recommend to use a stylus when using GoodNotes as a digital bullet journal. For this project I used the Adonit Dash 3 Stylus , which I highly recommend. I also recommend the Bargain Depot Stylus 2 Pack  from Amazon. Daily Workout Plan This first spread can be used to plan out what exercises you plan to workout each day of the week. I would recommend this spread for those who are just starting to workout. I did not created the workout that is used as the example for the content of this spread. The workout is from Pintrest Workout Plan .  Workout Tracker This next tracker is in the format of a monthly calendar. In order to track the different workouts accomplished throughout

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus Book Review

Reasons For Reading This Book: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus was Jackie's choice for the month of October. Jackie is the host of The Readheads Podcast Book Club. This is a monthly podcast book club that I have been apart of since it was established in 2020. I love getting to hear the thoughts of the hosts each month.  Content of the Book: Elizabeth Zott is a chemist but is much more than meets the eye. She is not only beautiful but also extremely smart, confident, strong, and not afraid to beat to her own drum. Elizabeth is one of the only female chemists working at Hastings Research Institute. She is viewed as different by everyone there. It's there that she meet Nobel-Prize nominated chemist Calvin Evans. Calvin who falls in love with Elizabeth is described as a loner, grudge holder, and extremely brilliant. Fast forward a few years and Elizabeth is now a single-mother working as the host of the most watched cooking show, Supper at Six . With Elizabeth's ways of
